The new emergency medical unit from Targu-Mures, inaugurated Saturday, will be able to receive with more than 80 patients than so far, says the Secretary of State for Health Ministry, Raed Arafat.

He said, at the ceremony that was also attended by Prime Minister Victor Ponta, that the new unit is served by 30 doctors, of which six are pediatricians.

"The investment was made by the Ministry of Health, through the World Bank program, from some economies that were made on the emergency program and also from these savings they have made ​​several projects.

"The investment cost, with equipment and all - and I speak about proper equipment including CT, so exactly after the standards that exist abroad - is around three million euro, per total," said Raed Arafat.

Prime Minister Victor Ponta said that in every region of the country should exist at least one reception unit-equipped according to the Western emergencies standards.

Victor Ponta announced that he has agreed with Eurocopter representatives from Ghimbav, Brasov that the helicopter acquisition program for SMURD to continue also next year.
Also, helicopters will be purchased for other centers in the country.
