The EC approves the state aid scheme for SMEs in Romania

The European Commission has approved the state aid scheme worth 935 million euros, which Romania will use to support companies affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.
The support is in the form of direct grants for working capital and productive investments, up to 100 thousand euros per company in the agricultural field, up to 120 thousand euros in the fisheries sector and up to 800 thousand euros for all the other areas.
The scheme will operate until 31 December 2020 and will be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
