The Prime Minister, Emil Boc, declared that the goal of the new agreement concluded by the European Commission, World Bank and IMF is the economic boost.
The premier added that the agreement was preemptive and would last for two years.

It has been foreseen that in 2011 the economic growth will reach 1.5-2 percent while in 2012 the boost will be about 4-4.5 percent, as Emil Boc claimed.

The PM added that Government would not use the money directly because it could be used only if the international economic situation became worse.

The aimed budget deficit foresaw by the Government is about 4.4 percent for 2011 and three percent of the GDP for 2012.

"If the economic recovery is not supported then, in the second term of 2011, the Government will consider the possibility of a gradual reduction of social contributions in order to create new jobs in Romania", Emil Boc asserts.

According to Emil Boc, there has been approved the Government Emergency Ordinance related to checking individual’s fortune.

There will be controlled poor businesses managed by rich owners. The decision related to fiscal evasion issues will be taken by legal authorities.

Government wants to bring into practice a simplified tax system for minor taxpayers.

Emil Boc said: "we will ask EU to increase the tax for VAT paying businesses from 35,000 euro to 50,000 euro."

He specified that all the debts which government ought to pay back to companies would be discharged and there would be set a payment program.

"Business"money will be discharged and they must avoid getting in debts again", the PM Emil Boc added.

Sunday evening, Traian Băsescu, President of Romania, declared that Romanian officials would not sue for the last part of the loan that should be granted according to the agreement signed with IMF.

During a press conference that took place at Cotroceni, he asserted that Romania would use only the last sum of money granted by the European Union in order to cover the public budget deficit.
