The strategic partnership between Romania and Great Britain is progressing excellently and plays an essential role in the current security context, with the challenges that arise in the area of our country, Minister of National Defense Gabriel Leş said after the meeting with his British counterpart, Michael Fallon.

The Romanian Minister pointed out that this year the presence of British Armed Forces on Romanian territory is significant in all operational areas: air, land and sea.

Britain's Defense Minister Michael Fallon has also assured the firm commitment of Great Britain to the security and defense of Europe.

The talks between the two officials also referred to the major subjects on the NATO agenda, focusing on the implementation of the decisions adopted in May and the preparation of the ministerial defense meeting at the end of this month.
