State aid for event organizers

Deputies approved the inclusion of event organizers among the economic operators that benefit from state aid and from the compensation of losses caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The proposal was initiated by PNL, as an amendment to the Government Emergency Ordinance establishing the aid scheme for travel agencies and HORECA. PNL Deputy Gabriela Horga:
Gabriela Horga: The approach is a fair, equitable one, because all the event organizers were extremely affected during this period, not being able to carry out their activity for 14 months. They need help, and the implementation of this scheme is now the responsibility of the Ministry of Economy. If today we are talking about economic growth, we are doing so because last year's government had measures regarding the business environment. It's a fact.
