Saturday: 6.096 new cases of infected people

6.096 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 were registered yesterday, after over 37.000 tests, the Strategic Communication Group informed on Saturday.

These are cases that have not previously had a positive test.

There were 1.433 new cases in Bucharest. In five counties, the number of announced cases was over 200: Timis - 377, Cluj - 293, Ilfov, Brasov - 263, Dolj - 200.

Also, 112 new deaths were registered, and a record number of 1.324 patients are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units.

As of Saturday, 892.848 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus were confirmed in Romania. Of these, 803.226 were declared cured.
