Romanians can access a new tranche of Tezaur government bonds

The Ministry of Finance is launching on Wednesday a new tranche of Tezaur government bonds, with maturities of one and three years, with annual interest rates of 6.3% and 7.2%, respectively.
They have a nominal value of one leu and can be purchased by people who have reached the age of 18 on the date of subscription, until mid-September.
The government securities issued under the Tezaur program are transferable and redeemable in advance, and the income obtained from this type of investment is tax-free.
The funds thus obtained will be used to finance the budget deficit and refinance the public debt.
In the previous edition of the Tezaur program, more than 30.000 Romanians chose to invest almost 1.4 billion lei, the Ministry of Finance announced.
