Romanian firefighters in Greece contributed to extinguishing a fire that broke out in the area of a stone quarry in the Attica region.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the intervention took place throughout the night, the last outbreaks being liquidated only in the morning.
A new intervention module, made up of 90 Romanian firefighters, arrived in Greece on Friday, at the request of international assistance from the Greek authorities.
This is the second Romanian rescue mission, after, also on Friday, the 92 firefighters who fought the flames on the island of Rhodes returned to the country.
