Romanian climber Jolt Torok, who disappeared a couple of days ago in the Făgăraș Mountains, has been found dead on Saturday by mountain rescuers.

According to Chief of Mountain Rescue (Salvamont) Sibiu, Adrian David, the 45-year-old climber was located in the area of Negoiu Peak.

Jolt Torok has conquered the highest mountains in the world. He is being considered one of the best mountain climbers in Romania.

Last year, Jolt Torok managed to place the Romanian national flag at 7,165 meters altitude on the Fumori Peak in the Himalayas, after identifying – as a world premiere - a new route towards this peak.
