Romania will soon join the Schengen area

Romania will join soon Schengen, and the decision to continue to be kept outside the free movement area was wrong, said the president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, in Bucharest, before the assembled plenary session of the Legislature.
She emphasized that she is in Bucharest at a deeply symbolic moment, during the period in which we are marking the Revolution of December 1989, and she came to make a single call: "Don't give up on Europe, because the time of the two Europes has passed!"
Roberta Metsola said again that Romania's accession to Schengen is to the advantage of all states, and Romanian citizens deserve the same chances as other citizens of the European Union.
