Romania: successful test in the EU digital travel system

Romania successfully tested yesterday the European interconnection system for digital certificates. The action was carried out by the Special Telecommunications Service, with the Community Technical Working Group.
Digital certificates that will facilitate free movement in the EU during the COVID-19 pandemic contain, among others, essential identification data such as first and last name, date of birth and issuing member state, as well as medical data.
According to the work schedule at European level, the documents will be produced at the beginning of July, and from a technical point of view, STS specialists will be able to ensure the implementation in Romania of the IT system in accordance with this schedule.
