Record number of coronavirus infection today in Romania: 555 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, more than during the state of emergency. Also, the number of deaths exceeded 1.800.
18 deaths were announced today. The number of patients admitted to Intensive Care Units is close to the maximum recorded in the state of emergency: today 237 people are hospitalized, compared to the 288, as there were on April 22.
The Strategic Communication Group argues that this growing trend of infection is caused by the fact that the population does not strictly comply with health protection measures - wearing a mask, keeping distance, avoiding direct contact with others and frequent hand hygiene.
