Romania ranked 1st in the European Cyber Security Challenge 2019 competition (9-11 October, Parliament Palace in Bucharest), followed by Italy and Austria.

6th edition of the championship, organized for the first time by Romania, brought together teams from 20 states, made up of young students passionate about cybersecurity.

Romania was present with a team of 10 young people between the ages of 16 and 25, selected from over 300 competitors.

Event, supported by the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA), is a competition in which Romania also had good results in the previous editions - Vice-Champion in 2016 and 2017, and, in 2015 and 2016, designated by the jury as having the best presentation of the way it solved the tasks in the competition.

According to ENISA, next year's European Cyber Security Competition will be held in Vienna. ECSC will travel to Prague in 2021, Norway in 2022, and Italy in 2023.
