Road congestion at Nadlac customs

The Hungarian frontier authorities have taken further action against illegal immigration, after tracking down scores of people who were trying to enter Hungary by fraud.

Road congestion at Nadlac customs

Articol de Ioan Suciu, 18 Ianuarie 2012, 11:32

The traffic at Nâdlac border checkpoint in Arad is queuing because of the extra measures the Hungarian authorities have taken against illegal immigration.

The border controls have been initiated due to the fact that during the past few days, the Hungarian police identified several Afro-Asian and Arabic persons in the country.

Each and every road truck is being carefully searched.

Therefore, if normally there were being checked around 100 trucks per hour, now the numbers go down to barely 20 trucks per hour.

Because on DN 7 (national road) Arad- Nâdlac a traffic lane has been blocked by the line of trucks waiting to cross the border at Nâdlac, at the entrance in Romania the traffic is now extended to Semlac and Seitin road diversions, until Tuesday morning at 6 am.

The Hungarian border controls are being carried out in the same serious manner.
The Arad County Police Inspectorate announced they would inform the Hungarian authorities about the delay and they would ask them to provide additional staff for traffic fluidization.
