Referrals in the debate of the Constitutional Court

The Constitutional Court has several referrals on its agenda, including that of President Klaus Iohannis on amending the law on the Code of Civil Procedure.
The head of state considers that the respective amendments were adopted in violation of the norms of the legislative technique.
Constitutional magistrates are also debating several appeals today, including that of the People's Advocate on the draft law on the implementation of technical supervision mandates ordered in criminal proceedings.
The draft stipulates, among other things, that the Romanian Intelligence Service may conduct criminal investigations under special conditions in cases of treason, espionage or terrorism. The Constitutional Court also discusses USR's notification regarding the revocation of Anca Dragu from the position of President of the Senate.
The reasons given are related to the fact that the presidents of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies are elected during the term of the legislative forums, and the Parliament violated this principle.
