Rector and Vice-Rector of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" Police Academy in Bucharest have resigned on Friday after they were placed under judicial control for instigation to blackmail, according to police sources.
Previously, leadership of the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs demanded resignation of the Police Academy Rector and Vice-Rector, both investigated by the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) in the file on death threats against journalist Emilia Şercan.
