Real estate developers, forced to install electric car charging sockets in new apartment blocks

The Government approved today the Emergency Ordinance that will fulfill one of the conditions required by the European Commission for Romania to receive the second payment request from the NRRP, in the amount of 3.2 billion euros.
One of the provisions of this normative act is for real estate developers to install electric car charging sockets in new housing blocks.
The owners of old buildings will have the same obligation, in case they do major renovations.
The second condition refers to the adoption of the Integrity Whistleblower Law, which has already passed the Senate and would be voted on next week by the Chamber of Deputies.
