Radio Romania nominated at the UNITER Awards Gala

Three of the radio theater productions of the Romanian Society of Radio Broadcasting are nominated at the twenty second edition of UNITER Awards Gala which will take place Monday, on April the 28th, at the Culture Palace in Targu-Mures.

The nomination jury, composed of theater critics: Andreea Dumitru, Sebastian-Vlad Popa and Ionut Sociu chose the following: “Anita Nandris-Cudla –Life memories –Anita Nandris-Cudla -20 years in Siberia”, artistic direction Petru Hadarca, “Belvedere” by Ana-Maria Bamberger, radio adaptation and artistic direction Cezarina Udrescu, “Two short stories” by Mihail Bulgakov: The towel with a cock and The Steel neck”, radio staging and artistic direction Diana Mihailopol.

“Anita Nandris-Cudla –Life memories –Anita Nandris-Cudla -20 years in Siberia” is a document-theater spectacle presented in two parts, at Radio Romania Cultural, within “biographies, memories” series in November 2013. The radio scenario is realized by Magda Dutu and Raisa Radu, after the book “20 years in Siberia” by Anita Nandris-Cudla, published at Humanitas Publishing House.

Many comments appreciated this book, either for the documentation on the communist repression and the Siberian gulag or for the originality of Anita’s expression, “with three elementary classes and a soul as big as a national history, of a brilliant stylistic authenticity” (Stefan J. Fay).

The Romanian Academy brought the official confirmation, according the “Lucian Blaga” award, in 1992, maybe for the first time, to a countrywoman with three elementary classes.
“Belvedere” by Ana-Maria Bamberger is a radio spectacle which is distinguished through its impeccable, cyclic structure, through the balance between the comedy elements and philosophical accents, through the brilliant and absorbing reality/illusion/imagination game, designed to lead the viewer/listener to involvement. The radio opening of the spectacle took place on November 2013 at Radio Romania Cultural.

“Two novel by Mihail Bulgakov: The towel with a cock and The Steel neck” add the writer’s two novels, published between 1925-1926, in his book “Notes of a young physician” –two serious medical cases and however unexpected for the young doctor, recent graduate of the faculty, assigned at the hospital in Muriino village, two human experiences filled with emotions, feelings, symbols, scattered with insight thoughts of a particular intensity…
