Presidential elections in Romania: Last week for candidates to register

This week is the last one for registration of candidates for the presidential elections in Romania. Most political parties have already nominated their candidates in the race for the Cotroceni palace.

There are also many independent candidates. According to data so far, 23 people would like to run for President. However, each of them must collect 200,000 signatures from supporters in order to officially enter the race.

First round of the Presidential elections in Romania will take place on November 10, and the second on November 24.
