President of Romania awards US Ambassador Hans Klemm

President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, has awarded, on Tuesday, United States Ambassador to Bucharest, Hans Klemm, with the National Order of the ‘Star of Romania’, in the rank of Grand Cross, for his extraordinary contribution to the development of relations between Romania and the United States of America.

”Mr. Ambassador, at this moment, when your mission in Bucharest is about to end, the Strategic Partnership between Romania and the United States of America is stronger and more dynamic than at any time in its history. In 2020, the marking of 140 years of diplomatic relations between our countries takes place in a bilateral context that we can be proud of. Considering the special results of your mission in Bucharest for the development of the Romanian-American partnership, for reconfirming and deepening the mutual commitments between our countries, it is my great pleasure to grant you the National Order of the ‘Star of Romania’ in the rank of Grand Cross”, said President Iohannis.
