President Klaus Iohannis attends on Tuesday the signing ceremony of the French-German Cooperation and Integration Treaty in Aachen, Germany, at the invitation of Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Signing of the French-German Treaty by French President and German Chancellor take place in the Coronation Hall of the Aachen Town Hall (Rathaus). Ceremony is preceded by speeches of Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, Armin Laschet, Mayor of Aachen, Marcel Philipp, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Chancellor Angela Merkel.

President Klaus Iohannis, representing Romania that currently holds the EU Council Presidency, EU Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker deliver speeches after the signing ceremony.

On the occasion with the visit in Germany, Head of Romanian State will also have a meeting with Romanian militaries deployed at the NATO military base in Geilenkirchen, Romanian Presidential Administration announced.
