Preparations for the Romanian Presidency of the EU

These days, an extremely important tool for the preparation of the Romanian Presidency of the European Union will be finalized, Foreign Minister Teodor Meleșcanu said today. It is a contract with the French National School of Administration, for the training of Romanian officials.

Answering to Radio Romania, Teodor Meleșcanu said that the Foreign Ministry would not be able to hire senior officials for the Romanian Presidency of the EU because the number of the Foreign Ministry employees is established by Government decision. The authorities, though, will consider volunteer collaborations including with non-governmental organizations or will hire for specified periods.
