Payment of local authorities debts,"a priority for the Govt"

Teleorman County Council President, Liviu Dragnea, said Wednesday that the commencement of arrears payment not to enter into a financial jam is one of the priorities set out in the debate on topical themes of local administration organized by Ministry of Administration and Interior( MAI).

"There are local authorities having to pay money to companies and these ones to the State budget and by the amounts that will come to the local authorities we lessen much of this blockage," said Liviu Dragnea, President of the National Union of County Councils.

The second goal set at the debate, according to the Teleorman County Council President, prioritizing local development project.

"Clearly called on the Regional Development Minister to begin funding sites open in Romania . There are thousands of such sites, works from various programmes and their financing must be started in the order of these works, "claimed Liviu Dragnea.

He added that the works begun for years must be completed first, noting that it was practically requested to no longer start new works, only in the situations well and motivated to pursue funding ongoing projects .

It also called on the Minister of Agriculture to regulate a simple matter, the one regarding the EU aid program for persons in poverty, but it was revealed that cannot be allocated to such aid only to those who are in records.

''In Romania, the poorest shall not be caught anywhere, neither unemployment nor retirees nor guaranteed minimum income "claimed Liviu Dragnea.
