Over 7 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered

In the national vaccination campaign against COVID-19, another threshold was exceeded today - 7 million doses administered.
Last night, we reached 4 million people vaccinated with at least one dose.
Immunization activity in family doctors' offices has also begun to intensify. Nearly 6.500 Johnson & Johnson vaccines were administered yesterday, for which a single dose is sufficient.
On Thursday, May 20, a new tranche of Johnson & Johnson arrives in Romania, another 74.000 doses. The number of new cases of COVID-19 has risen slightly today - just over 700 - but the trend is declining from one week to the next: last Wednesday there were about 250 more.
The number of hospitalizations also continues to decrease - there are currently fewer than 4.500 coronavirus patients in hospitals.
