New restrictions coming into force in Romania today in order to limit the spread of the new coronavirus.
The new measures have already been published in the Official Gazette.
Wearing a protective mask becomes mandatory throughout the country, regardless of the rate of infection, in all closed or open spaces.
Night traffic will be prohibited between 11pm and 5am.
During this period, travel will only be allowed to go to work, to the doctor or for the care of children or the elderly and only with a written statement, a model of which can be found on the already known sites. The document may also be handwritten, provided that it contains all the required information. It can also be presented on the mobile phone, but must contain the handwritten signature of the user.
The most contested restrictions are those that provide for the closure of stores at 21:00 and the suspension of the activity of indoors agri-food markets.
