New Defense and Economy Ministers in the Romanian Government
The newly appointed Ministers took oath of office today at the Cotroceni Palace.

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has signed, today, the decrees for the appointment of Mihai Fifor as the new Minister of National Defense and Gheorghe Şimon as the new Minister of Economy.
The newly appointed Ministers took oath of office today at the Cotroceni Palace, according to RRA Reporter Oana Bâlă.
The ruling Social Democrats (PSD) decided that former Economy Minister Mihai Fifor replaces Adrian Tutuianu who resigned last week after his office said it could not pay Defense staff wages.
Fifor will now have to coordinate the modernization of the Romanian Armed Forces.
The ruling coalition also decided that Gheorghe Şimon takes over the Economy portfolio. Şimon is a member of the Social Democrats.
