Nearly 100 Covid related deaths reported since the last update

96 deaths were recorded yesterday in patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the Strategic Communication Group announced.
According to SCG, the deceased are 55 men and 41 women - hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Arges, Braila, Bistrita-Nasaud, Botosani, Brasov, Buzau, Caras-Severin, Calarasi, Cluj, Constanta, Dambovita, Dolj, Galati , Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iasi, Ilfov, Maramures, Mehedinti, Mures, Neamt, Prahova, Satu Mare, Salaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Timis, Vaslui, Valcea, Vrancea and Bucharest.
Of the 96 deaths, one was registered in the age category 20-29 years old, two in the age category 30-39, six in 40-49, five in 50-59, 29 in 60-69, 29 in 70-79 and 24 in the age category of over 80 years of age.
88 of the registered deaths were of patients who presented with comorbidities. Six people, however, did not have other medical problems, and for 2 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 35.132 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have died in Romania.
