Romanian National Radiophonic Theater, Performance Art Theater in Bucharest, and National Romanian Literature Museum invite you, on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, from 17:00 at the Performance Art Theater (Calea Griviţei 64-66) to radiophonic theater premiere „La vita e bella”, written by Radu F. Alexandru and directed by Vlad Cristache.
Author Radu F. Alexandru presents a sarcastic comedy about the crisis of couples’ life. Two adulterous couples play the comedy of honesty, in order to turn out to be libertine and superficial. Love is a social mask, the characters are individuals who see the existence as a chase for satisfying pleasures of the moment and are incapable to give meaning to their lives. Cynical joy is the tone with which couples break down, lie and adultery take front, becoming today's daily gestures reliefed of ethical responsibility.
Radu F.Alexandru: "Everything is relative in this world; comedy, drama are aesthetic categories that we can only find in books that no one else reads and which have come close to confusion today. We live in a general joy. So, prepare your handkerchiefs, tears, I can assure you, you will need them. Since the beginning of the world, ‚crying and laughing’ has been and has remained one of the healthiest therapies”.
„La vita e bella”, by Radu F. Alexandru, is basically a radio-studio show that premiered in the 2014-2015 season at the Bucharest Comedy Theater, and that the National Radiophonic Theater took over and adapted as a radio show in the project entitled „Radiophonic Stage of Romanian Contemporary Drama”, 2017 edition.
The plays of Radu F. Alexander were constantly produced at the National Radiophonic Theater and have enjoyed success and recognition.
