"CCR has only one option : invalidation of the referendum"-- says Evenimentul Zilei about the decision to be taken by the Constitutional Court concerning the validation or not on the Sunday’s poll for the dismissal suspended President’s dismissal Traian Băsescu.

Author of the article cites the views of opposition on this subject-while PDL believes that "the data announced Central Electoral Bureau(BEC) reveal that the referendum cannot be validated , because mandatory attendance threshold of 50 percent plus one is not reached, USL considers the elections must be validated and made a referral to CCR in this regard.

About the referral made by the Presidents of the two Chambers of Parliament, also writes Jurnalul Naţional that mentions that the signatories of the document have claimed in favour of the vote validating that the legal basis on which it was summoned to remove the quorum.

Also the Chamber of Deputies and Senate leaders have reviewed the sequence in which the regulatory acts have been adopted on the referendum and have urged the new CCR to obtain information from BEC( Central Electoral Bureau), the National Institute of Statistics and MAI( Ministry of Interior) in order to establish the conditions for validation of the July 29 elections.

"Depreciation of Romanian Leu in IMF’s attention"-titrated Adevărul and explains: in addition to the themes already known that the Government will discuss during the visit of the IMF delegation these days in Romania, one additional appeared regarding the costs of maintaining a stable exchange rate, while the trends of the national currency depreciation are still strong.

The newspaper notes that BNR should continue its interventions to limit the depreciation of Leu and notes that a devaluation would induce too broad risks in the banking system, taking into account the population and firms that have difficulty in increasing payment rates on credits in foreign currency.

Adevărul recalls the statement issued recently by the Governor of the Central Bank relating to the costs to stabilize the exchange rate and also lists the sensitive points in negotiations with the IMF.

Finally, România Liberă estimates that : "Three state companies have debts as a highway on the Prahova valley" and makes a graph of the evolution of the indebted ones from the State budget.

The daily added that the receivables increased in the second quarter of this year and gives as an example, Romanian Post ,a company to be privatised, analyzing the causes of the massive growth of debts to the budget.
