National irrigation system "will be restored"
The Ministry of agriculture announces that preparing a programme for the rehabilitation of irrigation systems with funding from the structural funds. The initiative comes as a result of the problems caused by drought in autumn.

Minister of agriculture Daniel Constantin said on Sunday at Botoşani that he intends to rehabilitate irrigation system at the national level through a programme that will be implemented during the next seven months.
The programme will be discussed on Monday in Brussels with the European Commissioner for Agriculture Dacian Cioloş.
The program of rehabilitation of irrigation systems is financed from the structural funds.
Minister of agriculture Daniel Constantin said that the initiative comes as a result of the problems caused by drought in autumn.
"Do not always depend on weather conditions.
"And we are proposing that, for the first time, given that agriculture is the priority, define irrigation-like roads, infrastructure and like the environment - a priority and be such a program funded by the structural funds," said Daniel Constantin.
The Minister of Agriculture has announced that this week the Ministry has a special service that will handle the relationship with insurance companies in crop disaster segment.
"In the new organization chart that will be approved by the Government in the first session on Wednesday, we will have a special service that will deal with the relationship with the insurers, so that all these things are very well developed," added Daniel Constantin.
Currently, the Ministry of agriculture is waiting for an assessment of the environmental damage recorded in the autumn of 2011.
