Dozens of military divers from Romania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia and the United States of America attend these days a multinational exercise in Constanţa, Romania, at the Black Sea.
Divers train to implement operational search and identification procedures for marine explosive devices. They perform diving drills, as well as activities to search for diving targets using underwater drones.
Main objective is joint training of participating forces, in order to develop interoperability and to improve knowledge of the fight against underwater threats.
RRA Correspondent Sorin Cealera states that this is the only annual multinational exercise organized in the Western Black Sea Basin, aiming to strengthen training of military divers from NATO countries and Partnership for Peace signatory states.
Exercise ends on 26 July.
