MP status law back to parliament
Romanian President Traian Băsescu sent a law changing the MP status back to parliament for review on Monday, the Romanian Presidency announced as quoted by Radio Romania.

President Băsescu believes that changes concerning such matters as incopatibility and conflict of interests ignore recent recommendations made by the European Commission in its report concerning the Co-operation and Verification Mechanism (CVM).
Mr. Băsescu also believes that the Romanian MPs' status should be subject to public debate.
