More than 20.000 people have been administered the third dose of a messenger RNA-based anti-COVID-19 vaccine on the first day of the additional booster in Romania.
The pace of the national vaccination campaign has been increasing rapidly lately, amid the negative evolution of the epidemic, with a wave of infections that has brought an absolute new record of new cases.
Yesterday, almost 20.000 people were newly vaccinated. Preferred is the single-dose serum from Johnson & Johnson, of which most vaccines have been administered in a 24 hour period, almost 11.500.
Today a new tranche of this serum arrives in the country, over 200.000 doses.
