More than 1.5 million people attended the Easter services in the country

There were no major problems on the night of the Resurrection - informed the Ministry of Internal Affairs. More than 1.5 million people attended religious services in the approximately 10.800 places of worship in the country. A large number of people, about 9.000, attended the Archbishop's Cathedral in Galati. The Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest was attended by 6.000 believers, according to data provided by the authorities.

The mobile emergency, resuscitation and extrication services intervened to provide first aid to more than 1.000 people, and firefighters were called to extinguish 90 fires, without coming across life-threatening problems.
