Prime Minister Victor Ponta expressed hope that Wednesday evening, the Minister proposed to take over the justice portfolio, Mona Pivniceru, will make the oath at Cotroceni Palace.

'' I hope tomorrow to have the Minister of Justice. I doubt that the CSN will block once again. It is to take note of the resignation of Mrs. Pivniceru '', said Victor Ponta.

The meeting of the Superior Council of Magistracy will take place on Wednesday, to which the Prime Minister will also participate.

Victor Ponta declared that, under the law of the Supreme Council of Magistracy , the Minister of Justice does not have the right to convene the Supreme Council of Magistracy , this can be done only by the Chairman or Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Magistracy.

Victor Ponta commented that the idea according to which USL would change the DNA chief prosecutor Daniel Morar, DNA, and General Prosecutor Laura Codruţa Kovesi represents "a wicked lie ."

Mona Pivniceru, judge of the High Court of Cassation and Justice, resigned from the magistracy , after, on August 8, and has pledged to resign from the post of CSM elected member of the Council, when Prime Minister Victor Ponta made the proposal to appoint her as a Minister of Justice.

On 8th of August 2012 has been posted, the Superior Council of Magistracy, the resignation of the elected member of the CSM, representative of the judges in the High Court of Cassation and Justice, the judge Mona Pivniceru, it can be read in a press release of the CSM.

Victor Ponta had proposed instead Titus Corlățean on Mona Pivniceru, who is also a member of the CSM.
