Measures taken by the Government for the management of the refugee flow

Host: Romania has closed its airspace for all scheduled flights, with or without landing at airports in the country, for aircraft of operators in the Russian Federation, the Civil Aviation Authority announced. Exceptions to this measure are humanitarian and emergency flights. The executive also decided to set up a platform that could be accessed from the government's website by any person, volunteer or private entity interested in supporting Ukrainian refugees. Reporter: Petruta Obrejan - Additional measures have been taken to properly manage the flow of refugees, who will be offered accommodation and medical assistance.

Dan Carbunaru, Government spokesman: The flow of traffic for citizens arriving from Ukraine has been reorganized by establishing buffer zones, waiting areas and food and water supply points. In order to manage the situation generated by the numerous vehicles in which the Ukrainian citizens who have already entered the Romanian territory have chosen to wait for their relatives and friends who were approaching the border crossing point, tents were set up so that people would not wait in the cold. The means of transport provided by the public authorities to pick up people arriving from Ukraine on foot have been allocated, because many Ukrainian citizens have abandoned their cars on the territory of the neighboring country, giving up crossing the border with them.

Reporter: At the same time, people, companies or organizations that want to help refugees will be able to do so through a platform entitled "Ukraine - Together we help more", which can be accessed from the Government's website, so that their support will be directed exactly where it is needed the most.
