Ludovic Orban stated that all measures will be taken against COVID-19

Articol de Andrei Şerban, 20 Iulie 2020, 15:46

Prime Minister Ludovic Orban said today that as soon as the new quarantine and isolation law enters into force all measures will be taken to effectively fight the COVID-19 epidemic, in which regard, the chief executive said that a Government meeting could take place tomorrow.

Prime Minister Ludovic Orban called on the citizens to respect social protection measures and to use masks indoors.

The prime minister recalled that he does not want to adopt new restrictions or measures that would affect the economy and that he specifically requested intensified check-ups in public spaces.

Ludovic Orban: I think you have noticed an intensification of control teams within all the institutions that have control attributions. We are considering stepping up check-ups wherever we have information on breaches of the rules, including clubs and terraces that are open for extended periods and actually function as a kind of club, so we can make sure that the owners and managers are involved in following the rules.

The prime minister also said that it is very possible that an executive meeting will be held tomorrow morning to change the government's decision on the state of alert, in the sense of introducing the measures provided in the new law on quarantine and isolation.
