The Romanian pugilist Lucian Bute will defend on Saturday night to Sunday for the 10th time the world title at super middleweight title in IBF version against the British Carl Froch.

The match will be held in Carl Froch’s hometown, Nottingham, on Capital FM arena.

The match between Lucian Bute and Carl Froch will be transmitted live by Radio Romania Actualităţi at 1.30.

The specialized site boxrec.com believes that at this moment Lucian Bute is the second pugilist as value in the super-middleweight category while the British occupies the third position.

Journalists from ESPN note in an analysis done before the match that although Lucian Bute is at worst the second sportsman as value from the super-middleweight category, the Romanian pugilist strives to gain respect yet.

To get it, write the ones from ESPN, Lucian Bute has accepted to fight away though it was not necessarily need this because he could earn enough money fighting at home in Montreal or in Quebec.

Thereby Lucian Bute will face Carl Froch, a pugilist who held the world title twice and who fought during the final tournament Super Six World Boxing Classic where he was defeated by Andre Ward.

“Lucian Bute: I remember when Joe Calzaghe fought towards the end of his career away from home and got the respect he deserved for this. That is what I am looking to do.

“The right time to go away from home”

“It is the right time for me to go away from home and to defend my belt. In my heart I believe I will be victorious”, Lucian Bute said.

“I was criticized because I do not fight away from home. I remember when Joe Calzaghe(ex champion at super middleweight and heavyweight) fought to end of his career away from home and earned the respect that he deserved for this. That is what I am trying to do”, said the Romanian pugilist.
The ones from ESPN also note that Lucian Bute is tired to be criticized that he fights only at home.

The Romanian pugilist fought almost all the matches from professionals in Canada and Romania, except, however, three parties that took place in the USA, the fifth fight (Atlantic City) , the sixth fight (Boynton Beach), and the eighth fight (Boston).

Starting with the fight in Boston in 2004, Lucian Bute has fought only on his ground, but this will no longer happen, say the ones from ESPN.

To Lucian Bute "must be given him faith "

“I think he had to do so now. I think all the matches in which he defended his belt were in Canada, USA and Romania.

“But he was never on the road to defend his title how should a champion make”, said Carl Froch.

The British pugilist believe that Lucian Bute must be him given faith.

“It is not easy to go away from home. He flew across the Atlantic and came to fight in my yard. He took a chance and a gamble. But he is obviously very confident”, said Carl Froch.

The British pugilist considers that Lucian Bute has accepted to go to the United Kingdom to fight since he has stipulated in the contract a clause that provides for the existence of a revenge if the Romanian will lose and that match will be held in Canada.

Lucian Bute (32 years old) has 30 wins from the pros of which 24 by KO.

His opponent, Carl Froch, has also 30 fights to the professionals but he has won only 28 wins (20 by KO), but also two losses.

Carl Froch lost in 2009 in Copenhagen in front of Mikkel Kessler and in the final Super Six tournament with Andre Ward.

“The belt will remain to me”

The pugilists Lucian Bute and Carl Froch have passed official the balance which took place on Friday.

Lucian Bute weighed 75,84 kg while its opponent had about 75 78 kilograms, so that both pugilists were classified within the category (76,204 kilograms).

“Carl Froch: Lucian is a very good fighter and it will certainly be very hard to me to defeat him. I am sure that the public will encourage me and I will use the energy from the supporters in the stand. I am glad that I have the chance to fight in my city.

The Romanian pugilist, Lucian Bute said, after the official balance probe that he promises to the British fans that he will not yield the belt in Saturday's match at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham.

‘It is a sensational atmosphere, but I am glad I have, along with myself so many Romanians and Canadians. Definitely at the match, the situation will be different and will be many more British people in the tribune.

“Anyway I came here with the thought to a very close battle and I am prepared to face it by myself with Froch.”

“It is a very important match for my career, because I fight on foreign land, but also with a very strong opponent. Anyway, I promise to English people that the belt will stay at me”, Lucian Bute said, according to Mediafax.

Carl Froch said on Friday, after the official balance probe that the Romanian boxer is a very good fighter and that it will be very hard for him to capture the IBF title.

“We are not arrogant, because we do not allow it. We both know that we are facing a very tough match and this test represents something important both for me, and for England.”

“Lucian is a very good fighter and certainly it will be very difficult for me to defeat him. I am sure the public will encourage me and I will use the power of supporters in the stand. I am glad that I have the chance to fight in my city”, said Carl Froch.
