Klaus Iohannis will be publicly vaccinated on Friday #anti-COVID

Articol de Radiojurnal, 13 Ianuarie 2021, 00:22

President Klaus Iohannis will be publicly vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 on Friday, January 15, when the second stage of immunization begins.

He announced on Tuesday, at the first press conference this year, that mass vaccination is the only solution to get us back to normal as soon as possible.

Klaus Iohannis: We have two major directions: on the one hand, we must stop the pandemic, and this depends on the success of the ongoing vaccination campaign, and on the other hand, we must forcefully restart all economic sectors and start the promised reforms. These two major directions are in fact deeply interconnected, because the success of vaccinating the population is what will generate to a very large extent the ability to resume all severely affected economic and social activities in these months.

Host: President Klaus Iohannis does not agree with a unique European certificate as proof of vaccination.

Asked by Radio Romania News reporter Carmen Gavrila what is Romania's position on this request made by Greece, the President of Romania stressed that such a document would give rise to a framework of discrimination and would divide the population of Europe in two.
