President Klaus Iohannis sent a congratulatory message to the President-elect of the United States of America, Joe Biden, reaffirming Romania's commitment to continue the common goals of strategic security, defense and economics.
At the same time, our country as an ally in NATO remains committed to contributing to defense spending and stands besides the United States to meet the current challenges regarding health, the economy and climate change, and also security and human rights.
The head of state also said that he expects the celebration in 2021 of 10 years from the Joint Declaration on the Strategic Partnership for the 21st century between Romania and the United States, adopted during the term of vice president of Joe Biden.
