Judge Veronica Cirstoiu, suspended from function

Veronica Cirstoiu is preventively arrested, along with her son, being charged of bribery and complicity for influence traffic.

The section for Judges of the Superior Council of Magistracy decided to suspend from function starting today judge Veronica Cirstoiu, from the Appeal Court of Bucharest.

Veronica Cirstoiu is preventively arrested, along with her son, being charged of bribery and complicity for influence traffic.

According to prosecutors, the judge would have received through intermediates the amount of 1,2 million euro to give favorable solutions in criminal files, as well as the file in which was reinvestigated the conviction to 7 years imprisonment of Dinel Staicu.
