Nearly 300 soldiers from Bulgaria, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Romania, the United States and Ukraine participate, on Thursday, in a training exercise in Babadag Training Area (south-east of Romania).

Exercise aims to test ability to coordinate militaries and to improve responsiveness to specific actions.

RRA correspondent Luiza Rosetti: "In this exercise, the Romanian Army is represented by 85 soldiers. Terrestrial forces are from the 341st Infantry Battalion Constanţa and the 9th Mărăşeşti Mechanized Brigade; Naval Forces are from the 307th Marine Regiment from Babadag, Tulcea. Drills aim to maintain capacity of joint deployment and to increase the level of training of the military. Exercises carried out over the past two weeks have consisted of tactical shooting drills, first aid simulations and practice involving command and control procedures".
