President Director-General of the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company (Radio Romania), Georgică Severin, has met today with Simon Spanswick, CEO at the Association for International Broadcasting (AIB), who visited the premises of Radio Romania in Bucharest.

Simon Spanswick made a short presentation about his organization and discussed possibilities for cooperation with the public radio station in Romania. Developments in the audio media, with emphasis on digital broadcasting in the DAB + system, for which Radio Romania has a manifest interest, have also been discussed.

Other topics addressed included the use of satellite as a means of covering certain geographic areas and the accelerated migration of the public to the online and social media.

AIB, an independent organization based in the United Kingdom, groups about 40 audio and video public and private broadcasters, international media organizations, media service providers, press agencies, and broadcast service providers with international activity.
