Increase in the Energy Costs, in the Second Semester of 2012
The cost of electricity for households increased by over 4% in the second half of last year, according to Eurostat.

The cost of electricity for households increased by over 4% in the second half of last year, according to the data published by the European office of statistics, Eurostat.
But in real terms, the increase was of over 8%, if compared to the purchasing power of the Romanian population.
The rate adjusted to the purchasing power was above the EU average.
The cost of natural gas also increased by 4.4%, double that figure if compared to the purchasing power of Romanians, but below the EU average.
