In Timisoara start events dedicated to the anniversary of the 23 years since the revolution of December 1989.
On at 6 am was the first anti-Communist manifestation.

It happened on the day of December 16, 1989, the day that Timisoara has triggered spark anti-Communist revolution.
In Maria Square more believers in God gathered in front of the parish house of the reformed Pastor László Tőkés, threatened with eviction by the security officers.
They were joined by hundreds of Timişoara citizens who have blocked the street, stopping on tramways and the County party Committee, removing the way all the symbols of the Communist regime, chanting: "freedom, people come with us, down with communism!"
