Half a million foreign tourists in three months
The National Institute of Statistics informs that in the first three months, foreign tourists visiting Romania spent one billion lei

The total number of foreign tourists visiting Romania in the first three months of the year was almost half a million and their expenses amounted to a total of one billion lei.
The main reasons for visiting Romania were business, participation in congresses, conferences, courses, fairs and exhibitions. Their expenses account for 66% of the total.
The National Institute of Statistics also announced that over the past year, Romania was visited by 2.4 million foreign tourists who spent an average of 530 euros per person.
