#Greece Romanian military fire crews have retreated to the base

In Greece, after days of fighting the fire in the Vilia region, the last crews of Romanian military firefighters withdrew from the area to the base of operations in Eleftina. The objective they protected, day and night, remained safe, transmitted the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.

The objective was a monastery surrounded by fire. The building with all its constructions, church, chapel, refectory, cells and annexes was handed over to the nuns who live there.

Romanian military firefighters are still being prepared for missions that Greek officials could ask them to intervene in.
