General Scaparrotti decorated by President Iohannis

President Klaus Iohannis has signed, today, the decree on decorating General Curtis M. Scaparrotti, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), with the "Order of the Star of Romania", informs the Presidential Administration.

As a sign of "high appreciation for the support given to Romania in the context of the process of adapting the NATO command structure, as well as for supporting national initiatives in development", the Head of State awarded the "Steaua României" National Order, Grand Officer, to General Curtis M. Scaparrotti, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR).

Also on Friday, Romanian President has signed the decree on decorating the Battle Flag of the 30th Mountain Troops Battalion "Dragoslavele", as a sign of "recognition for the successful accomplishment of the missions entrusted to the unit's soldiers in the execution of the" Resolute Support "mission in the Afghanistan Operations Theater.
