"Gaudeamus Fair ", officially opened

The 19th edition of Gaudeamus Fair was officially opened at Romexpo in Bucharest.

International Book Fair "Gaudeamus" was officially opened.

The event will be held on 21-25 November 2011 in the Central Hall of the Bucharest Romexpo and is organized by Radio Romania.

The Republic of Moldova is the guest of honor at the 19th edition of the Fair Gaudeamus.

Writers and men of culture of the Republic of Moldova will attend , as well as several publishers.

The opening of "Gaudeamus Fair " was supported by the President general-manager of the Romanian Radio Broadcasting, Sorin Miculescu.

According to him, Gaudeamus "is not only an event, but is a common meeting place of those who create, write, edit, of those who think with those who consume these products".

"Gaudeamus Fair concludes a series of extremely important events, cultural events that Radio Romania has generated, promoted and supported in this year and I assure you that, from my point of view, I'll do whatever keeps me like this to continue, to grow, to be taken at a level of quality ever higher in the public interest, because it is our public mission that we respect, "added the President general-manager of SRR.

Over a hundred thousand visitors wait at the fair

The Executive Director of "Gaudeamus Fair ", Mr. Epstein has shown that at the event are expected over a hundred thousand visitors.

"Things are kind of miracle, I refer to this issue in terms not quite happy for writing and I am convinced that the number of visitors the past few years, over a hundred thousand visitors in five days, will be matched at least at this issue," said Mr. Epstein.

According to him, this year's event involved 370 participants, who will be more than 650 editorial events.

In 2012, the guest of honour is the Republic of Moldova.

Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, Iurie Renita, spoke about the opportunity the book fair offers his country to make known the work.

"The message that the Republic of Moldova shall transmit them, through everything that will occur at this fair, is that undeniable belonging to Europe, its membership that will no longer have argued and demonstrated.

I would like to interpret my presence here and the most prominent national culture promoters in the Republic of Moldova, not only as a simple gesture, but as an argument of the Republic of Moldova to promote and strengthen a culture and progress policy , "said Iurie Renita.

He took the opportunity to talk about the cultural relations between Romania and Republic of Moldova.

"The cultural relations between Moldova and Romania is based on the consolidated database and rooted in time. Intense bilateral exchanges in recent years have strengthened this platform independent and close cultural, enriching it with valuable contributions in the fields of cultural activity, cultural exchange between artists, teachers, scientists and experts in the various fields of the book and the culture, "said the ambassador.

Italy, privileged partner of "Gaudeamus Fair "

Another invited country this year at Gaudeamus is Italy.

The Italian Ambassador in Bucharest, Mario Cospito, spoke about "the status of privileged partner" that his country is at the event.

"Italy is preparing to participate in the 19th edition of the International Book Fair Gaudeamus with privileged partner status. It is a definition. For us it is the recognition of the cultural relationship between Italy and Romania are excellent, that will be enhanced and strengthened in the future, "said Mario Cospito.

According to him, among the Italian guests of the event include the philosopher Giacomo Marramao, Marcelo Fois and oenologist Luca Maroni, who will present the newest guide on the best Italian wines.
