Former tennis player Ilie Nastase sentenced to jail

Former tennis player Ilie Năstase has been sentenced, on Wednesday, February 27, to nine months and ten days of suspended jail, following police control while he was driving and his refusal to provide biological samples, as requested.
Judges also agreed that the trial period should be two years, during which former tennis player is obliged to comply with more court conditions, based on the law.
Court’s decision is not final and can be appealed.
